Saltwater Social Club

Saltwater Social Club is a vibrant new addition to Byron Bay’s renowned hospitality lineup. A relaxed restaurant by day and lively bar by night, it pays homage to Byron’s coastal culture and storied history while incorporating saltwater stories from across the seas.

Saltwater Social Club is designed to be a gathering place for all. It strikes a balance between laid back vintage vibes and classic coastal style for an eclectic feel. White washed walls, sun-bleached floors, and navy cabinetry create a bright and airy seaside ambience. With a collection of curated vintage and new artwork telling the story of Byron Bay’s famed coastal culture.

Neverland was tasked with creating a brand identity that walked the same line – laid back vintage vibes, classic coastal style and a bright seaside ambience. It called for a modern brand mark with a vintage feel, one that was effortlessly iconic and adaptable to a vast range of applications – from digital media to print assets and shopfront signage.

The end result is a logo and broader visual identity that draws inspiration from a retro era – groovy typography; a vintage, stamp-like composition; and an illustration style evocative of 1960s block printing.

The identity includes a suite of illustrative and typographic elements which assists in maintaining dynamism and cohesion across multiple touch points. The primary brand icon (palm tree and sun) also connects edge-to-edge to become a neat brand pattern.

Neverland is the ultimate design studio. At the helm, Dani is inspired, punctual and responsive. And everything has that unique ‘wow’ factor.
